Modification of Child Custody

The cooperation and ability of each parent to maintain a close and continuing relationship between the other parent and the child.

Generally speaking, Lake County judges do not like to modify child custody orders once they have been approved. However, in rare cases where a child is extremely affected by their living situation, or some act of abuse has occurred, a modification of child custody can be requested.
